The Gurugram Municipal Corporation declared that plots with a 100-square-yard minimum might be regularized. The state government is taking this move to stop the spread of unlawful colonies.

According to a recent declaration from the state administration, subdivided plots with an area of at least 100 square yards are qualified for regularisation. Such subdivided parcels inside the MCG boundary will receive applications for regularisation from the MCG Commissioner. The plot owner must apply for construction plan approvals per the 2017 Haryana Building Code’s regulations. The front setback of the split property must coincide with the original plot’s

The Urban Local Bodies Department increased the minimum plot size needed for subdivision and regularisation to 100 square yards and above; the subdivided plot’s size cannot be less than 50 square yards.

According to the district administration’s notification, the Haryana Management of Civic Amenities and Infrastructure Deficient Limits Beyond Municipal Areas Act 2021 allows illegal colonies outside municipal areas of the city to apply for regularisation by January 18. The developer or the RWA may submit the application.
